Remove Table Formatting in Excel

I got an excel document from one of my team members and it has been formatted as table. I couldn’t get rid of the formatting as table from “Format as Table” options.

Here’s the solution I found:

Right-click anywhere in the table/list and List>Convert to Range

  1. This removes the table and the associated functionalities. If you only want to apply the standard (empty) format to the cells, you can pick the appropriate style from the Design > Styles tab. Alternatively, although the paste format does not work on tables, explicitly formatting cells works.
